At East Side Animal Hospital we perform many soft tissue surgeries including ovariohysterectomy (spay) and neuter for males. We also perform tumor removals, bladder surgery and abdominal exploratory surgery. Abdominal exploratory surgery may be necessary due to foreign body obstruction (eating bones, cloth etc.)

All pets undergoing procedures requiring general anesthesia will have pre-surgical blood testing done including complete blood count (CBC) and a serum biochemistry profile; these tests provide important information about your pet’s health status. All pets receiving general anesthesia will receive IV fluids during the procedure and a pre-surgery injectable pain medication to allow your pet to be comfortable during the procedure and recovery.
